The cause of declining CTRs from Google organic search, and what to do about it

Continuing on from their last post lets remind ourselves of what’s behind the fall in CTRs from organic search, and take a better look at how to mitigate the issue to deliver more, higher quality traffic to your site. Until the early to mid 2010’s, the approach to organic search was to identify the search queries that had high search volume and/or high intent to convert, to rank #1 in Google for those terms, and to enjoy the resulting traffic and revenue potential.
